PHOTO SHOW REPORT - MISS MAY I, FIT FOR A KING, VOID OF VISION, CURRENTS@ARENA, VIENNA 4th FEBRUARY 2018

The New Year had barely started and we are already in full launch. We traveled to Wien on Sunday 4th of February. An impressive pack of bands performed in Arena concert venue: Currents, Void Of Vision, Fit for a King and Miss May I.

The doors of the smaller hall of the Arena opened at 7 p.m., and the first to play, half an hour later were Currents from the US. We have been waiting to check them out for quite some time now, so it was exciting to learn of the tour. They played for half an hour. With their debut, full length album which came out in summer 2017 the, are now coming more to the forefront of the scene. The hall was half full by the time they were through most of the set list. Almost the whole of the set list contained all new songs, from "The Place I Fell The Safest". They opened the show with the first song from the new album "Apnea" and hit the spot right from the start. Most of the crowd participated from song one. It was an intense fully fledged performance from this guys. They also played: Tremor, Night Terrors, Delusion, Withered, Shattered and others.

Void of Vision hit the stage next. We saw them on "Rise Up Fest" last year and were wondering how they will do, and this time around they heaven't shown any less. The performance was on point, it really felt like they gave us their best. The crowd was with them completely, moshing and throwing them selves in the pit. There was a nice surprise somewhere half through the performance. Bassist and clean vocalist Ryan "Tuck" O'Leary from "Fit For A King" join them on stage for a little while. Some of the songs they played were: Ghost In The Machine, Nightmare, Purge, Spite and others.

Next up Fit For A King took the stage over. Right after song one it felt that they are as ready as ever. They opened the show with Hollow King from the second album Creation/Destruction, which immediately caught the attention of the crowed. They continued with some of their latest works: "Shadows & Echoes" and "Dead Memory" that got a strong response from the audience. It was felt that the majority of people were most enjoying the show during FFAK, they also had the largest crowed, the biggest circle pit and people were just with them participating as they progressed through the set list. Later during "Stacking Bodies" Levi Benton from "Miss May I" joined them on stage for the song. Last two songs to close the show with were "Deathgrip" and "Pissed Off".

Miss May I were last to play. Already warmed up crowed loved the first few songs. They played: "Lost In The Grey", "Deathless" and "Masses of a Dying Breed" which were accepted with strong response. Later the crowed calmed down a bit, maybe they were already tired from all the previous performances, also the hall wasn't as full as before. But nevertheless the band and people participating held the energy at its peak through the hole show. They continued with: "Casualties", "Gone", "Hey Mister", "Swallow Your Teeth" witch made quite a few people throw them selves in the pit. Then it was time for the drum solo. All periods of creating were included in the show. They played at least one song from each album, but most of the songs were from the latest "Shadows Inside". Its always a pleasure to see them live as they sound as good as in the studio. Also the harsh and clean vocals are perfectly complementary to each other and the rest of the band. They played couple more songs and the last one was "Shadows Inside". After the crowed called them back they played one more: "Relentless Chaos" with which they usually close the show with.

I can say that this was one of the best shows we seen in a while now. Great to see Currents and Fit For A King for the first time and the rest of the bands again. With no special expectations we were delighted with all the great performances of the night.
