BRING ME THE HORIZON - New Album Will Be Pop?

Bring Me The Horizon are working currently on the new album.

In an interview with Kerrang, Oli Sykes said some interesting things about the direction for the new album. Oli said following about Twenty One Pilots:

"[They're] popular and accessible, but without compromising their integrity or who they are," and "That's a real challenge now."
Last offering from the band 2015's album "That's The Spirit", the band played with some of pop melodies and elements.

"We like the idea of breaking into the mainstream," Sykes says. "We're not ashamed of that, we don't see it as selling out. We see it as a great challenge, to make music that can be adored by more people but still retain who we are. That is the goal."

Sykes said that Bring Me the Horizon has currently about 30 song ideas "in various stages of non-completion" for the new album. He says he hopes the band will release new music sometime this year.

We will have to wait and see what the band will do, certainly the old fans will be dissapointed.
